Gentle Classes

gentle vinyasa prana flow yoga
In this class you will flow through hip openers, moon salutations and back bends which has a cooling and calming affect on the mind and body. In this gentle vinyasa flow yoga we draw from the rejuvenating energy of the moon where we will flow with a steady, calming and meditative rhythm. Enjoy a lunar approach to yoga-calming, fluid and connected in meditative and slower paced rhythm.  

intro to yoga
A beginner yoga class for the total newbie to yoga. We review breath, alignment and introduce sun salutations, basic standing and seated postures.  

rejuvenating flow yoga
This class is designed to serve the practitioner who wants to flow with the gentle grace of the breath. Perfect for those who are recovering from an injury, those who are pregnant and those who are seeking a softer practice. Rejuvenating Flow Yoga is restorative, healing, calming and will increase flexibility and mobility. Calm your mind, body and soul.

yin yoga
Yin Yoga is the balancing practice to Yang (active) Yoga. It is Yoga for the joints, not the muscles, moving the intention of the practice deeper into the connective tissues of the ligaments, bones and fascia. These are the deep Yin tissues of the body, relative to the more superficial Yang tissues of muscles and skin. Yin Yoga opens up these deep, dense, rarely touched areas generally targeting the hips, the pelvis and the lower spine. Chest, shoulder openers and twists are also included. After you have experienced this serene but powerful practice, you will feel an openness and lightness in your body like never before.


Moderate Classes

community yoga
A hatha inspired class that takes you through a series of postures with energizing sun salutations mixed within. A perfect start to your Sunday morning. The intent of a "Community" class is to provide a class that everyone can afford to enjoy. This class is always $5.

energizing flow
Let go of your tension and stress. Release the knots in your body and let your breath flow deeply; yet with ease. This class is a slow vinyasa flow, allowing you to listen to your body and move deeply into your inner strength and stillness. Follow the guidance of your breath, gently flowing from one asana into the next, to build your focus and still the mind. Fall into bliss with a guided deep relaxation. 

intro to yoga level 2/3
This course builds upon the the basic yoga asanas (postures) learned in Intro to yoga and you will be introduced many more! The student will also learn a wide variety of surya namaskars (sun salutations) including mandala namaskars and dancing warrior.

kundalini flow

Experience the power of Kundalini Shakti in this hybrid-kundalini flow class. Let your body and breath pulse interact in this repetitive and rejuvenating practice. Move into vinyasa flow supported by this Prana (energy). You will feel energized and completely rejuvenated.

pilates for all levels
Pilates exercises engage the body and the mind through a series of controlled movements that will lengthen and strengthen your muscles without adding bulk. These movements improve the mind-body connection, alignment and posture, mental alertness while helping to develop a strong core. In this class some props will be used including resistance bands, foam rollers and blocks.

Train your Heart to Run
Join us for a group run through Riverside Park and then a "runner's appropriate" yoga stretch in the park! Aimed and eliminating and fears of running! As a group we motivate each other and quickly learn that Yes, I CAN do it!

vinyasa prana power flow yoga
Vinyasa prana power flow yoga classes are breath inspired journeys that offer a complete spectrum (Ha-Tha) of rhythms from meditative and rejuvenating to the challenging and empowering. The wave of a class is created through cycles of effective and creative sequences linked together through the breath wave (prana). Every class is well rounded, following the mandala of the body and asanas (poses) to create whole body transformations of strength, fluidity, circulation and centering. Vinyasa Prana Power Flow yoga classes do not follow a set sequence of postures; each class is unique and different and will vary from class to class. From each Vinyasa Prana Power Flow class you can expect a great cardiovascular and strength building work out combined with breathwork (pranayama). This style of yoga has been created by world renown yogini Shiva Rea.


yoga express

This 45 minute express vinyasa flow class is energetic and lively. Each class is created from a selection of peak poses, offering the students a unique experience. You can expect a great cardiovascular and strength building work out combined in this class.

yogafusion
Yogafusion, created by studio owner Natasja Payne, is an eclectic fusion of Vinyasa Power Flow yoga, tai’chi, pilates, kriya yoga, breathwork and free movement. Learn how to embrace your uniqueness and allow your body to move and express itself in ways you never thought possible. In this class you will enjoy becoming more connected to the language of your body.


Vigorous Classes

Vinyasa prana power flow yoga classes are energetic, lively and athletic that synchronize breath with movement. Vinyasa pran power flow yoga classes do not follow a set sequence of postures; each class is unique and different and will vary from class to class. From each Vinyasa prana power flow class you can expect a great cardiovascular and strength building work out combined with breathwork (pranayama). Hot Vinyasa prana power flow yoga class is practiced in a room that is heated to 30 degrees. The Hot Vinyasa prana power flow yoga will aid in detoxification and weight balance and  can burn anywhere from 600-1000 calories.

The same class description as Hot Vinyasa Power flow but is taught to contemporary rock and alternative music. 
 

yoga boot camp
We begin with series of Sun Salutations to warm up the body and to prepare the mind and body for a vigorous and challenging workout, where we will use our own bodyweight to challenge our muscles and to train our cardiovascular system. Your workout will be sealed with great deep long held stretches and a short shavasana. WARNING! This class will increase your metabolic rate, cardiovascular capacity and lean muscle mass. You will burn fat, loose inches, tone your muscles and leave feeling energized and empowered. 


Kids Classes


Parent and Tot Yoga
Offered as a 12 week pre-registered class.
Introduce Yoga to your young child while spending quality time! In this 30 minute class geared towards 3 - 5 year olds, the parent and child will learn basic yoga poses through creative games and songs, the beginnings of sun salutations and connect with each other through age-appropriate partner poses! Guarantee to bring lots of fun and laughter! Each class will end with a suitable shavasana.

Yoga4Tweens
An introduction to yoga for your young tween! This 45 minute class is geared towards children aged 7 - 11 years old. Your child will learn a variety of yoga asanas (postures) and the beginnings of surya namaskars (sun salutations). Through creative dance and games, we will reinforcement what we have learned. Teachings of "Living Yoga" will be introduced... how and why we should all respect others, the environment and ourselves
