Marcy has always had a love for all things active – a passion for cycling, swimming and running. Since 2007, Marcy has competed in numerous Triathlons. She remembers a time when she thought that yoga would not be for her - too slow paced. But that has changed! She wants to encourage all types of  movers to give Yoga a try.

Susan TakacsYoga instructor
While in Nepal, after having traveled in Asia for an extended period of time, Susan discovered and became intrigued by Yoga.  Susan’s curiosity of Yoga and its benefits, was piqued after she had personally witnessed and observed the Sadhus of Khatmandu. She was amazed by their feats of flexibility, stamina and balance and she sensed the embodiment of peace and tranquility.

Although it has been over ten years since Susan enrolled in her first Yoga class, her enthusiasm, passion and desire to explore the various styles of Yoga continues.  “I began my yoga practice thinking it was a good form of exercise only to discover that Yoga provides so much more.  The combination of balance, strength, flexibility and stamina that one can develop through this disciplined practice, flows into all areas of life.   Yoga is empowering, and brings with it another dimension to our experiences as it promotes and creates an integral union of body, mind and soul.”

Yoga can be an intense physical workout and can also provide a spiritual and uplifting experience without it being “religious” in any way, hence the mass appeal.  “Yoga enables me to appreciate all that life has to offer as I continue to grow in body mindfulness, moment to moment.”

Susan is excited to join the team at Fusionmovement to share the benefits of Yoga with others

Susan AllanThai yoga massage therapist
Susan Allan, a native from Londonderry Northern Ireland, moved to Bangkok Thailand in 2001 and while there she and her husband indulged regularly in Thai yoga massages which were completely different than any other massages they had ever experienced before. Susan loved how it relaxed and stretched her entire body and left her feeling fantastic. Susan moved back to Canada in 2003 and settled in Cambridge, Ontario. While searching for a Thai yoga masseuse locally she discovered the Lotus Palm school. They are a world renowned school and their style of teaching is inspiring. What amazes Susan the most is that she enjoys giving a massage as much as receiving one. Susan would love to see you on her mat, so that you too can reap the many great benefits Thai yoga massage has to offer.
